Break the Silence Fundraiser

Break the SilenceJoin us in the bar for this worthy cause; all proceeds go to mental health charities.  Break the Silence are so passionate about removing the stigma of talking about mental health issues. They are doing this through music by organising the Break The Silence Festival, which is on August 17th, 2019 at Quarry Stables Farm in Gateshead.

On Sunday March 24th from 2:00 pm, there is a fringe event for the festival at The Exchange with incredible bands performing such as The JADeS, Wagjammer and many more.  This is a family-friendly event with face-painting t from Glitzy Facepainting.  You can come and donate for a worthy cause and have a great afternoon too. 

The JADeS Profile

The JADeS are an exciting four-part female vocal harmony group, consisting of: Jayne, Andrea, Dawn & Sue, covering songs from across the decades and putting their own unique twist on all your favourites from artists such as; The Beatles, Paloma Faith, Elvis, David Bowie, The Arctic Monkeys and many more! Covering Vintage as well they can entertain any audience.


An energetic four piece from Tyneside, performing original songs with an upbeat folky rock vibe. Our music is organically homegrown and recorded at Wagjammer HQ, the marital home of Glenn and Wendy, in the heart of North Shields. Having made many sounds with Jimmy in a musical friendship stretching back almost 20 years, we met drummer Michael in 2015 on Wendy’s Birthday, in an apocalyptic summer thunderstorm, trapped by floods.

Mellissa Rose Davison,

Melissa is well known musician from the north east and has an stunning voice and has recently wowed audiences.

The Tenmours

A Folk Fusion band from Skipton, North Yorkshire. They take influences from both modern pop music and traditional music, creating a unique and exciting sound that will appeal to lovers of music of any genre.  The band consists of the powerful vocals and guitar of Alex Johnston-Seymour, the virtuoso fiddle playing of Ross Tennant and the versatility of the accomplished pianist and percussionist Adam Hopkins.

The Auld Vagabonds

A duo consisting of Keith Morrison and Andy Hogg,playing a mixture of folk /Americana/country originals and covers.

45 Spread

Originally emanating from Tynemouth Surf Cafe, 45 Spread play funk/blues/pop.

A local Singer with an extensive repertoire of songs and genres.

A local singer from North Tyneside with an eclectic genre including songs from Ava Cassidy
